Roadmap

What we're building next.

Sidekick keeps growing. This is the direction — plans can change, and nothing here is promised until it ships.

Next up: Reliability & everyday polish

Connection health dashboard (Reliability) — See whether an issue is the phone, the network, pairing or the service.
Guided reconnect & recovery (Reliability) — Get back online step by step, without reinstalling.
Lower background activity & quieter logs (Reliability) — Gentler on your phone's battery, clearer diagnostics.
Menu-bar quick controls (Mac experience) — Connection, battery, clipboard, transfers and mirror without opening the main window.
Notification grouping & per-app filters (Mac experience) — Less noise, easier to find what matters.
Transfer queue (Transfers) — Send several items without one pending request blocking the rest.
Reliable checksums for large files (Transfers) — Integrity checking you can trust.
Clipboard search, pinning & resend (Mac experience) — Find and reuse what you copied.

Transfer speed, ETA & detailed progress (Transfers) — Know how long a transfer will take.
Resume files coming to your Mac (Transfers) — A dropped transfer from the phone picks up where it stopped, as files sent to the phone already do.
Richer photo browsing & previews (Transfers) — Multi-select and smoother browsing of large libraries.
Image clipboard support (Mac experience) — Copy supported images between phone and Mac. Size limits apply.
Safer link handoff (Mac experience) — Open a phone link on your Mac only through an explicit action, never automatically.
Local recording of the mirror (Mirror & media) — Record what you mirror, with clear controls and an on-screen indicator. Saving a still already works.

Phone media audio on your Mac (Mirror & media) — Hear supported playback through your Mac. Android capture rules apply.
Individual Android apps in their own Mac windows (Mirror & media) — Keep one phone app beside your work.
Screen-off mirroring (Mirror & media) — Mirror while the phone screen stays dark. Advanced, device-dependent mode.
Android camera as a Mac webcam (Camera & audio) — Use your phone camera in Mac video apps.
Better camera controls (Camera & audio) — More control over the phone camera. Device-dependent.
Android microphone as a Mac input (Camera & audio) — Use your phone as a microphone for your Mac.

One phone connected to two Macs (More devices) — Use the same phone with a work and a home Mac.
iPad companion (More devices) — Bring Sidekick to iPad.
iPhone ↔ Android local sharing (More devices) — Share between an iPhone and an Android phone locally.

Platform rules sometimes limit what's possible, so some features depend on your phone or Android version.
